Kirsty has had 10 years experience within the orthodontic industry and has worked alongside Dr. Sudjalim for many years. During this time Kirsty has evolved in her career, starting as an orthodontic assistant before moving into roles of treatment coordination and management.
She has undertaken higher learning and various training courses and conferences to ensure she is up-to-date with the latest information and technology within the orthodontic world. Kirsty enjoys working alongside patients and staff to further learn and grow within this industry.
When Kirsty isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time on the peninsula with family and friends.
Gai has worked alongside Dr. Sudjalim since 2013. She started in general dentistry in 1999 and completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. It was then that Gai developed a passion for orthodontics and moved into specialist practise where she has been for the past 18 years; working as a dental assistant first before progressing into the role of Treatment Coordinator.
You will meet Gai at your initial appointment and consultations. Gai enjoys working with Dr. Sudjalim to assist her in the initial steps of helping patients gain a smile that is healthy, aesthetic and functional. Gai finds Dr Sudjalim’s passion and drive for orthodontics inspiring.
Gai is married with a very handsome 10-year-old son. She lives on the Mornington peninsula, loves the beach, swimming and sailing. She gets great pleasure in being part of a fabulous team at South Yarra Orthodontics, creating gorgeous smiles.
Oral Health Therapist BOHsc (La Trobe) and Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator
Chatelle is a dedicated oral health professional with 11 years experience in the dental industry with a special interest and 6 years experience in orthodontics. Chatelle graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Oral Health Science from La Trobe University in Bendigo and was awarded character merits for ‘best positive outlook’ and ‘happiest nature’ as voted by her peers.
Chatelle has a wealth of knowledge having worked with 11 specialist orthodontists over the years and has an extensive understanding of the Invisalign system, conventional braces and lingual braces. She is particularly passionate about orthodontics having had braces and dental treatment to address two missing front teeth of her own as an adult and understands how confusing the world of orthodontics can be to the new patient. She really takes pride in providing clear communication about the treatment plans and costs associated with orthodontic treatment. She believes that the best orthodontic care can be accessible and understood by everyone under the right care. Part of Chatelle’s non clinical responsibilities also include looking after our social media and digital marketing strategies
You will see Chatelle at your new patient consultations or sometimes in the clinic helping with braces adjustments and Invisalign appointments alongside our orthodontists and no doubt with a smile.
Chatelle’s ability to tie in the knowledge and experience from her clinical and non-clinical backgrounds is a valuable asset in her position as an orthodontic therapist and treatment co-ordinator.
